Woodleigh is an innovative school where students and staff are provided with the opportunity, encouragement and resources to be the best they can be. This is achieved through an approach to education that emphasises academic achievement in an environment of respect for oneself, for others and for the environment.
Why you?
At Woodleigh School, we seek individuals who contribute to a culture of respect, inquiry, innovation and learning. Ideal candidates set high academic achievement expectations and emphasise experiential, social-emotional and relational learning in their professional practice. They recognise and celebrate the unique strengths, interests and capabilities of all learners while fostering a sense of awareness, empathy and identity to support personal and collective wellbeing.
Woodleigh staff members encourage curiosity, initiative and responsibility in the lifelong pursuit of learning and engage actively as citizens in both local and global communities. They contribute to conversations promoting intercultural understanding and act as stewards for the sustainable use and protection of our natural environment. It is expected that all Woodleigh School teaching staff are skilled and passionate classroom practitioners with a desire to deliver engaging and relevant educational experiences.
Founded in 1856, Woodleigh is proud to be Victoria’s oldest progressive and co-educational independent school. From Early Childhood to Year 12, Woodleigh is home to just over one thousand students across three campuses on the Mornington Peninsula.
